![]() ![]() The only thing I haven’t done is mess around in the BIOS (I don’t know how get in there on the Win Max but I think the manual said something about it).ĭoes anyone have any solution I may just not have found or thought of yet? It’s such a frustrating issue and I’m surprised it’s not been officially addressed. ![]() I also tried to download the latest intel and GPD drivers. Basically, adding any dll file to the directory seems to break the game, changing the resolution settings does nothing (either in-app or system-wide), using ScummVM gets me the full screen I want but the game crashes randomly, and setting the screen orientation to portrait works but I would have crane my neck around and it’s virtually impossible to control with the mouse. Several from a Phawx video, several others I’ve seen about online. For finding out the 'launch keyword' for the game. You may need to have Adjust Aspect Ratio ticked too. Ive only tried to play Flight Of The Amazon Queen - that turns the screen to landscape on the right automatically. I’ve tried a bunch of different solutions. 1- Install ScummVM I did that using the default 'Add/remove software' app from Manjaro 2- I've added for this test Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis to the Scummvm 3- ScummVM allows you to launch the games directly from the command line, that's what I've used for making it work. If you change the Graphics mode to 2x, then its in 'full' screen mode. With Indiana Jones, I can’t do that (no conf file that I can see). It’s annoying but at least it’s a fix (Ultima 7 is really good on it). To toggle aspect ratio on and off, press Ctrl+Alt+a. This happens to pretty much every dosbox game too but at least I can go into their conf files and set them to OpenGL. The problem is that when I full screen, only half the screen is visible. No wonder it wasn’t working! Maybe they were referring to only either the d3d8 or d3d9 dll file but you absolutely need the d3dimm and ddraw dll files copied over too. The original instructions I found said to only copy one dll file. Moreover, ScummVM supports not only DOS games, but also adventure games made for other platforms, like NES, C64 or Amiga. That basicly means you have 100 mouse support and a graphical user interface (GUI) from where you can manage and start your games. I was following some other instructions but I got dgVoodoo 2 to work following these instructions. One important reason to use ScummVM is that it integrates better in Windows. ![]()
